How to buy FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets
The 2026 tournament is the first 48-team World Cup, hosted across 16 cities in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Tickets are sold in phases through FIFA.com/tickets — here's how the process works.
Sale phases
- Visa Presale Draw — early random-selection window for Visa cardholders.
- Early Ticket Draw — open lottery, submit up to a set number of applications.
- Random Selection Draw — the main allocation once the group draw is set.
- First-come, first-served — remaining inventory released live after the draws.
- Last-minute sales — released as team travel plans and returns firm up.
Price categories
FIFA uses four seating categories (Cat 1 is closest to the pitch, Cat 4 is the value tier reserved for residents of the host countries). Prices scale sharply from group-stage matches up to the final, and vary by stadium.
- Group stage: entry-level tickets typically start near the low three figures (USD).
- Round of 32 / 16: mid-tier pricing, meaningful jump from group stage.
- Quarter- and semi-finals: premium pricing, limited availability.
- Final at MetLife Stadium: the most expensive tickets of the tournament.
Hospitality & team packages
Hospitality is sold separately through FIFA's official hospitality provider and bundles premium seating with lounge access. Follow-my-team packages let you buy every match your nation plays through the group stage (and beyond, if they advance).
Buying tips
- Create your FIFA account early and verify ID before applications open.
- Apply in the first draw — later phases have far less inventory.
- Cross-border travel: US ESTA, Canadian eTA, or Mexican FMM as required.
- Only buy from FIFA's official channels — resale outside them can void tickets.
